OUR RESPONSE AS CATHOLIC CHURCH in the PHILIPPINES

More than 5.6 million Euros received from more than 30 Caritas Internationalis members, generous organizations and individuals for the Emergency Relief Operations.

 

EMERGENCY RELIEF Operations (November 2013 – March 2014)

  • 24,992 households reached with immediate food relief
  • 54,909 households reached by non-food items and hygiene kits
  • 20,834 households received emergency shelters
  • 105 fishing boats repair and replacement
  • 12,875 households for seedlings, small livestock
  • 20,000 households given unconditional cash grants
  • Psychological First Aid to individuals in 9 Arch/Dioceses

 

RECOVERY & REHABILITATION Operations (April 2014 – March 2015)

“Recovery Assistance for the vulnerable Communities affected by Ty Haiyan in the Philippines” (ReACH Philippines)

  • 118 communities surveyed in the 9 Arch/Dioceses
  • 24,978 households participated in the Participatory Disaster Risk Assessment conducted by parish volunteers and staff in March 2014
