Alay Kapwa spirit links dioceses amid ‘Yolanda’s’ massive destruction

MANILA, Nov. 12, 2013 — Considered the strongest typhoon for the year with sustained winds of 215kph and gustiness up to 250kph, Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) made six landfalls on November 8 in Central Philippines, ploughing the towns of Guiuan, Samar; Tolosa, Leyte; Bantayan Island and Daanbantayan, both in Cebu; Concepcion, Iloilo; and Coron, Palawan. Alay Kapwa launches Lenten Campaign nationwide

The Lenten Evangelization-Action Program of the Philippine Catholic Church has launched its National Lenten Campaign simultaneously with the theme “Challenges And Responses of Stewardship in the Year of Faith.” For the first time, Alay Kapwa will be launched in three Dioceses -one from each of the three regions in the country.
