  Next year, 2015, marks the 40th year of the Alay Kapwa Program of the Philippine Catholic Church. Created in 1975 by the Catholic Bishops, Alay Kapwa is the Lenten Evangelization-Action Program implemented by the CBCP National Secretariat for Social Action, Justice and Peace (CBCP-NASSA) as part of its commitment to transform a society enlivened by the Gospel values of justice and peace, and love for our brothers and sisters in Christ with preferential option for the poor and marginalized.
